Pandemic aside, 2020 marked a good year for real estate. Closed transaction sides jumped 15.8% over 2019, and the largest brokerage firms nationwide gained market share in 2020, with many posting record growth.

HomeServices of America and Realogy Brokerage Group continued their streak as the largest brokerages by transaction sides, according to the 2021 RealTrends 500, an annual ranking of the nation’s leading residential real estate companies. HomeServices posted a 4.1% increase in transaction sides. Realogy had a 2.55% uptick.

Landing at number 3 on the rankings, eXp Realty saw a significant jump in transaction sides last year, posting an 82.9% increase.

  3. eXp Realty
  4. Compass
  5. Hanna Holdings/Allen Tate
  6. Redfin
  7. HomeSmart
  8. Keller Williams Realty/GO Network Offices
  9. @Properties
  10. United Real Estate

The following companies ranked the highest on transaction volume:
