We’re approaching April, which means the 57th annual Easter Jeep Safari, scheduled for April 1-9, 2023, is almost here. For over five decades, thousands of enthusiasts and Jeep brand loyalists have gathered to participate in one of the largest off-road gatherings in the world, hosted by Moab’s Red Rock 4-Wheelers club. As with tradition, Jeep will bring some concept vehicles to the event, which have recently been teased. We may also see Ford appear at the event to crash Jeep’s party like they did last year.
2023 Easter Jeep Safari: Details
Though, as Ford is coming after Jeep for 4×4 SUV supremity, the brand isn’t sitting idly by and has plans to push the limits even further with an entirely new collection of eye-catching, mission-capable concept vehicles. Not only will the concept vehicles be revealed during the event, but they will also show off their capabilities and be “driven aggressively.” The Jeep brand and Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) by Mopar design teams are bringing their A-game to create several one-of-a-kind, rock-crawling, terrain-traversing vehicles that will take four-wheeling to the next level.
Jeep has plans to give fans some teasers of what’s in store for this year’s Easter Jeep Safari lineup with several “trail markers” leading up to the event. The first are sketches from Jeep and JPP that come fresh from the drawing table and hint at two of the new concept vehicles. One of which is a 4xe electrified Jeep SUV set to conquer Moab’s tumultuous backcountry tails in absolute silence and further highlight the Jeep brand’s vision of accomplishing Zero Emission Freedom.
The other is quite obviously the Jeep Gladiator but features some serious modifications. Based on the sketch, we can see a very bright green paint job, and it doesn’t appear to have a disconnected back end. Instead, the sketch hints at a unibody design with knobby tires, a lack of doors, and no back seats. It’ll be interesting to see what Jeep has in store for the event, and you can be sure we’ll be keeping a close watch for these “trail markers.”
