A Few Hundred More Than Before

Chevrolet dealers have been updated on the pricing for the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 lineup ahead of their availability in the spring of 2022. And while the Silverado ZR2 may have greeted some of you with sticker shock, the pricing for the refreshed Silverado lineup doesn’t climb that munch from the base MSRP of the outgoing 2022 Silverado LTD, which is largely a carryover model from the 2021 model year, save for a few tweaks here and there.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Starting Price And Beyond

According to dealer intel, the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 price will start at $33,195 USD for the Work Truck model. Pricing includes at $1,695 USD destination charge, which is a rate that stays flat across the lineup. Upwards, the 2022 Silverado 1500 Custom carries an MSRP of $40,195 USD –  $900 more then prior – while the refreshed Silverado Custom Trail Boss is priced from $47,895 USD. While these trucks will get exterior updates and the Work Truck sees the return of the standard box length, as well as more standard power and towing capacity from the 2.7L L3B turbo engine, they will not get the refreshed interior out of the gate. That upgrade comes with the LT trim level and above.

Speaking of which, the 2022 Silverado LT model comes in at $44,295 USD, while the LT Trail Boss will now ask $53,695 USD. For those looking for a more street-oriented truck, the 2022 Silverado RST commands $48,595 USD. Upwards, we have the refreshed Silverado LTZ, coming in at $53,495 USD, splitting the difference between the F-150 Lariat and Platinum trim levels. Sitting at the top of the pecking order for the 2022 Silverado 1500 is the High Country, now asking $58,495 – a few thousand dollars more than before, justified by a reimagined interior, and Super Cruise technology. Finally, as we touched on yesterday, there’s the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 price, which comes in at $66,795 USD, and comes with more interior content than the base F-150 Raptor.

While dealers are already in the know, expect these numbers to be officially announced by Chevrolet in the coming weeks.

The refreshed Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is expected to last from Q1 2022 and run until 2025. At which point, the next-generation of General Motors half-ton pickups will arrive to market. The 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 and 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 will still be powered by combustion engines, but will utilize new powertrains from today, according to a GM Investor Day presentation.
