After stepping aside from appearing on Keeping Up With The Kardashians to focus on her modeling career, Kendall Jenner has had several iconic moments while walking the runway. Since she was 12 years old, Kendall started gaining notoriety for appearing as one of the younger Jenner sisters on E!’s KUWTK. On the other hand, Kendall and sister Kylie Jenner were just two kids running around the house at the time, which was a stark contrast from their older siblings already dating, starting businesses, and capitalizing from their reality TV fame.
As Kendall Jenner kicked off her modeling career by stepping away from Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she started auditioning for fashion houses, taking classes, meeting designers, and doing editorial photoshoots. Kendall was met with a lot of skepticism at first, as many designers were initially uncertain about whether they should attach a Kardashian-Jenner sister to their new collections. But after some time, Kendall proved her work ethic and willingness to get work done, and successfully sidestepped the Kardashian brand to establish a name of her own self.

The more that Kendall Jenner resisted coming back to KUWTK, the more that her modeling career grew. As a teenager, Kendall landed some of her first notable runway bookings with brands such as Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, and Givenchy. But real success only happened for Kendall after she turned 18. In 2015 alone, Kendall walked the runway for the likes of Fendi, Alexander Wang, Chanel, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Oscar De La Renta, and Vera Wang. Then, in 2016, Kendall walked for brands like Versace, Balmain, Diane Von Fürstenberg, and Miu Miu, among others.
As Kendall kept her private and dating life private, she kept growing as a well-respected model who could land the biggest bookings in the fashion industry. Alas, in 2017, Kendall faced her first major controversy as a model when she had to cancel a booking from Victoria’s Secret so that she could be featured in a campaign from La Perla. That same year, Kendall was featured on a Super Bowl commercial from Pepsi that trivialized the Black Lives Matter movement. In 2018, Kendall made her Victoria’s Secret comeback and became one of the highest-paid models in the world.
Now that she’s a successful model before being a Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, Kendall is starting to wind down in her career. She is still photographing for many fashion houses and starring in their campaigns, but she has also launched her own company with 818 Tequila.
