Britney Spears unfollows her little sister ahead of Jamie Lynn’s memoir release
Britney Spears kicked off 2022 with a slimmed-down list of people she follows on Instagram — and it no longer includes her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Page Six noticed the change over the weekend, but Brit’s been increasingly open about her belief Jamie Lynn was complicit in her now defunct conservatorship for some time, as were other close relatives. “I would honestly like to sue my family, to be totally honest with you,” Britney told a judge at her explosive June conservatorship hearing. She later slammed her sister specifically on Instagram, captioning one post, in part, “I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!! My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!! This conservatorship killed my dreams.” Amid news Jamie Lynn had titled a forthcoming memoir, “I Must Confess …,” borrowing a lyric from the chorus of one of Britney’s biggest hits, the singer joked on Instagram that she was writing a book, too, but needed help coming up with a title. Jamie Lynn’s book title was promptly changed to “Things I Should Have Said.” It’s due out Jan. 18.

Halle Berry’s Van Hunt wedding post fools Alyssa Milano, Octavia Spencer and more celebs
On Jan. 1, Halle Berry and Van Hunt posted a romantic — if misleading — photo of their silhouettes as they leaned in for kiss. “Well…IT’S OFFICIAL!” Halle captioned the shot on Instagram. The post quickly garnered hundreds of thousands of likes, as well as congratulatory comments from the couple’s famous friends. But after Alyssa Milano, Octavia Spencer, Questlove and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, among many others, replied to what they believed was a wedding announcement, Halle posted again, noting that there was a second photo in the New Year’s Eve post that explained the first — what was official was … that it’s 2022. “We were just having some New Year’s Day fun!” she wrote in the next caption. “People clearly don’t swipe as much as we thought they did. 😂 thank you for the well wishes, tho’, it really touched our hearts! Now it’s OFFICIAL, the internet is no longer undefeated 😜.” Halle and her singer-songwriter beau went public with their relationship in 2020.

Kris Jenner dodges question about Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson romance as Kanye West announces surprise show near Pete
Stormi Webster saves the day! Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s 3-year-old daughter Stormi crashed Kris Jenner’s interview on CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live” on Dec. 31 just in time to help Kris dodge a question about Kim Kardashian’s new romance with Pete Davidson. When Andy Cohen asked Kris if she’s “[spent] time with” Kim and Pete since they started dating, pressing for deets on what they’re like “as a couple,” Anderson Cooper interrupted to joke that Andy’s “always digging,” according to ET. That bought Kris just enough time to let Stormi pop up on the screen, redirecting the foc us of their chat. “Nice distraction! Good timing, Stormi. Perfect. Right on cue,” Kris joked to her granddaughter who was seated on her lap by then. The interview ended without further comment about Kim and Pete, who appeared to spend New Year’s Eve in separate cities, with Pete co-hosting a New Year’s special alongside Miley Cyrus in Miami. Kim’s ex, Kanye West, also popped up in Miami for the holiday after announcing a surprise show that apparently never came to fruition. According to Page Six, ‘Ye’s “team called everyone in Miami asking if they had a location to do a concert at 6:15 p.m. on NYE,” with no luck. He reportedly spent the evening hanging out at a club instead.
Hilaria Baldwin calls for ‘kindness’ in 2022
After another difficult year, Alec Baldwin’s wife Hilaria Baldwin is pushing for positivity. Hilaria — who’s made a point of supporting Alec on social media since he accidentally discharged a gun on the set of “Rust,” killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins — wrote a lengthy Instagram post on New Year’s Day where she admitted she was afraid to claim that 2022 would be “the best year ever,” before realizing that “Life is naturally flawed,” and “it’s about HOW we ride the ups and downs of life’s waves that will partly determine our quality of life.” Hilaria went on to say that approach made her conclude we should “dedicate this year to kindness,” particularly in light of “trolls” and bullies who “go out of their way to be mean” to others. “Taking action is the only way to tip the scale back into a positive place,” she wrote. “We have to add more of the kind ingredient to drown out negativity. Silence will make us weak & give more space to the very few who want to spread negativity.” In closing, she added, “Let’s be vocal for us now, our future, & the environment we leave our children. We got this #kindwarriors2022.”
Kodak Black arrested for trespassing
Rapper Kodak Black was arrested on a misdemeanor trespassing charge in the early hours of Jan. 1, near the Greenacres neighborhood where he grew up in Florida. He was booked and released on bond around 3 a.m., according to TMZ. Kodak’s lawyer later told the outlet the arrest took place while the rapper was visiting friends near Pompano Beach. It was reportedly sparked by Kodak’s alleged violation of a cease-and-desist letter the local housing authority sent him after he delivered air conditioning units to neighbors in the area in September. The rapper’s lawyer says the letter failed to specify that Kodak couldn’t return to the neighborhood — he also says the letter wasn’t delivered directly to Kodak to begin with. Kodak does, however, have a history of drugs and weapons-related arrests, one of which earned him a prison sentence that was later commuted by Donald Trump.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s son Archie is reportedly learning ’emotional literacy’ in nursing school
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are reportedly getting a head start on their son Archie’s “emotional” education. As the former royals begin their first new year as a family of four in Montecito, California, they’re sending their 2-year-old son to a local school where the curriculum includes “emotional literacy” and kindness as well as Spanish, music, dance, theater, coding and vegetable planting and harvesting, according to The Mirror. The British tab claims Meghan and Harry opted to enroll Archie in a school that’s “less traditional” than the one that’s closest to them. “Harry often drops Archie off and picks him up, and seems like a good dad,” a source tells the outlet. “All the parents have been laidback in welcoming Harry and Meghan, without making a fuss. And to the other kids, Archie is just one of them. They don’t know his parents are royalty, and probably wouldn’t care unless Meghan was a Disney princess.” Meghan and Harry’s 6-month-old daughter, Lilibet, meanwhile, made her public debut on the family’s Christmas card last month.
