Buccaneers to visit White House, celebrate Super Bowl title

It’s official. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will head to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl title.

According to The Athletic’s Greg Auman, the Bucs could visit the White House as soon as this coming week.

At this point, it’s unclear if all players and coaches will attend the Super Bowl celebration at the White House.

The last NFL team to visit the White House and celebrate a Super Bowl championship was the New England Patriots, who defeated the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in Super Bowl LI in 2017.

The Philadelphia Eagles were uninvited in 2018, and the Patriots chose not to attend in 2019. The Kansas City Chiefs were preparing a White House visit after winning Super Bowl LIV in 2020 but ended up not attending.

The Buccaneers defeated the Chiefs 31-9 in Super Bowl LV to win their first title since 2003. Star quarterback and seven-time champion Tom Brady was named Super Bowl MVP.

Brady, though, might not be among those attending the White House. He has skipped the visit on several occasions after winning the Super Bowl in the past.
