I’ve been a member of the CSO’s New York audience since Jean Martinon. I’m curious as to why these members of its superb string sections are wearing masks when they are arrayed socially distanced, well beyond the minimum required to ensure safety. If there is some sort of non-musical statement being made here, I would prefer they stick to that which they do supremely well in these videos.
