Mike Youngquist from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? has a peculiar habit that surfaces during scenes where he complains about Natalie Mordovtseva.
While 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? couple Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovsteva’s married life troubles are currently at an all-time high, so are his sighs. Although Mike and Natalie are not yet divorced, the couple is speculated to be living separately with him in Sequim and her in Florida. However, fans feel that while Natalie may have never intended to stay together with Mike, he’s put in very little effort to mend the relationship. When confronted, he either lashes out in his squeaky voice or simply sighs. Episode 14 of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off was a follow-up after Trish and Natalie’s call, with her in Juliana’s arms, and him wanting to work things out and doing nothing.
When it comes to providing drama in season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? one can always count on Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi for the cringe content. But the real conversation starter appears to be Mike and Natalie. Although Mike and Natalie were on season 7 of 90 Day Fiancé before she had her K-1 visa approved, the real drama began after she came to America to get married. Fans felt that while Natalie has been emotional from the beginning, she’s not afraid of speaking her mind out, unlike Mike who keeps his real emotions hidden. While Mike dangled the carrot of marriage in front of Natalie throughout season 8, fans had deduced that it was his way of seeking revenge from her, without saying anything.
The same goes for his behavior on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? in which their relationship is at the brink of collapsing with Natalie packing her bags and moving in for good with Julia. A scene from this week’s episode saw Mike calling Trish to complain about Natalie and not bothering to take any of his mother’s advice but believing his marriage is meant to be. A fan on Reddit made a joke of Mike by devising a drinking game idea and asked others to drink every time he sighed in the episode. The fan was sure that everyone will be intoxicated by the time the episode ends, owing to Mike’s endless sighs and the others replied with, “I’m drunk just thinking about it,” and “That’s irresponsible drinking.”
In the comments, 90 Day Fiancé fans also joked that they might end up dying due to wine poisoning if they ever went through with this Mike bashing, and someone else joked that to get wasted, they could also try drinking on the word “hooker.” Apart from the constant sighs, fans have seemingly gotten tired of the Sequim man’s red face which indicates he’s irritated at Natalie, and obviously the “whiny” voice when he yells at her. His immature behavior on 90 Day Fiancé has also led fans to dub Mike the “biggest baby” of the franchise, and have also called out his gaslighting plenty of times.
At this point, Mike only seems to have two personalities on the show. It’s either the sulking one that has become Mike’s signature look, or the screaming one he’s now an expert on when he wants to prove Natalie wrong. Confrontation doesn’t appear to come easy to 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Mike, who has the tendency to storm out after having fits instead of hearing his wife out. Natalie also has her own faults that led to the relationship’s downfall, but Mike’s inability to accept things and change them may have also contributed.
