Ford Bronco Family Headed To 2021 Rebelle Rally

In 2020, professional off-roader Shelby Hall and navigator Penny Dale piloted a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport to a win in the X-cross class at the Rebelle Rally; an all-female off-road competition that covers more than 1,200 miles through Nevada and California, pushing both vehicles and drivers to their limits.

One win wasn’t enough. And Ford has announced their intent to compete in the Rebelle Rally again, this time with the full Bronco family of SUVs, consisting of three Broncos, and three teams of two women. The event takes place in October.

Ford At The 2021 Rebelle Rally

Instead of a Bronco Sport, Shelby Hall and Penny Dale will compete this year in the 4×4 class with a 2021 Bronco two-door SUV, while professional off-roaders Melissa Fischer and Cora Jokinen will take their spots in the Bronco Sport to compete in the X-cross class. Thirdly, novice off-roaders Kathryn Reinhardt and Victoria Bundrant of off-road accessory supplier 4Wheel Parts will compete in the 4×4 class novice division in a Bronco four-door.

The 2021 Rebelle Rally will start near the Hoover Dam on October 8, wind its way across rugged terrain in Nevada and California, and finish at Imperial Sand Dunes in California October 16. Participants spend their nights at designated checkpoint basecamps along the way. Per event rules, teams must disable apps like Trail Maps, and any other electronic navigation equipment.

Obviously, Ford is looking for the sweep here.

Rebelle Rally Ford Bronco Details

The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport and Bronco four-door are Badlands trim, while the Bronco two-door is a more high-end Wildtrak package. All three off-road SUVs are outfitted with a matching black/red/white race livery inspired by the Ford Bronco 4600 stock class race vehicle that will run in the ULTRA4 stock class off-road series this year.

The Bronco two-door, equipped with the Sasquatch Package, and Bronco Sport vehicles maintain bone stock hardware, with only second row seats removed to carry all of the cargo needed for 1,200 miles of off-road driving and camping. The 4Wheel Parts team will accessorize their Bronco four-door entry to show off the company’s many aftermarket parts.
