Ghostbusters‘ newest installment just got its latest trailer, and we’re 100 percent here for the wild ride! Ghostbusters Afterlife will serve as a direct sequel to 1989’s Ghostbusters II and follows a single mom and her two kids after they inherit a farm in a small town from a grandfather they never knew. The family of three begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The initial teaser released in January 2020 only gave fans an idea that the upcoming film would be remaining true to the original storyline, but the latest trailers are a nostalgic-filled step into the modern age that has us hooked!
The footage stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace as the aforementioned family of three, with Paul Rudd already winning us over as a summer school teacher named Mr. Grooberson. He’ll be serving as the characters’ gateway to the past, since he just so happens to be a Ghostbusters fanatic. There’s also a glimpse of multiple mini Stay Puft Marshmallow Men, Zuul, the Terror Dogs, and Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz. Watch the trailers ahead and get ready to tangle with some ghosts when Afterlife comes out in November.
