Bessy Gatto is finding humor after her split from her comedian husband.
The estranged wife of “Impractical Jokers” star Joe Gatto posted a TikTok video of herself answering the question, “What’s that broken thing in your house that everyone just accepts and lives with?”
In response, Bessy smirked as she raised her hand and cuddled with her dog.
Bessy’s post comes just days after Joe announced via Instagram that not only were they splitting, but he was also leaving his famed prank show.
“Alongside my friends, I’ve devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished,” Joe, 45, began.
“However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids.”
The now-former couple married in 2013 and have two children together: daughter Milana, 6, and son Remo, 4. Neither has revealed the cause of the split.
Bessy, 39, shared a similar statement to her own Instagram, writing, “Hi everyone. With love and respect, we have decided to separate.”
She added, “Although we will no longer be a couple, we will always be a family to our beautiful kids and we look forward to co-parenting together. We ask that you please respect our privacy as we navigate this new chapter together.”
Although Joe will no longer be part of “Impractical Jokers,” his three co-stars, Brian Quinn, Sal Vulcano and James Murray, will continue the series without him, despite being “saddened” by his sudden departure.
“With the support of our fans, we’ll get back to making a new chapter of ‘Impractical Jokers’ in January,” the group’s joint statement read. “With love, Q, Sal and Murr.”
