Khloe Kardashian Expresses Happiness After Tristan Thompson Trade

Khloe Kardashian posted about happiness after her ex Tristan Thompson announced his relocation to California to play for the Sacramento Kings.

Khloe Kardashian of Keeping Up With The Kardashians has shared some positive thoughts following the news of Tristan Thompson’s relocation to California. The pro basketball star has been traded to a team in his children’s home state. Though Tristan and Khloe aren’t in a relationship currently, the KUWTK star appears to be optimistic about the move.

Since they initially got together in 2016, Khloe and Tristan have endured a rocky relationship with several cheating scandals. Recent rumors of Tristan’s alleged hookups led the pair to split in June. Through the issues in their relationship, Khloe has been vocal about their effort to coparent for the sake of their daughter. In 2020, the reality star was considering becoming bi-coastal for True to spend time with her father. Tristan had been traded to the Boston Celtics for the 2020 season and Khloe thought about relocating her family to New England before deciding to stay put in Calabasas. After just one year in Boston, it was announced Saturday that Tristan will move to play for the Sacramento Kings. The trade will put Tristan closer to Khloe and True, as well as his son, Prince, whom he shares with his ex Jordy Craig.

Khloe has not commented on Tristan’s trade directly, a report from but the star posted on Instagram shortly after Tristan’s announcement with some uplifting messages Sunday. “Every situation in life is temporary,” a quote Khloe shared via Instagram Stories read. “So, when life is good, make sure you enjoy and receive it fully. And when life is not so good, remember that it will not last forever, and better days are on the way.” The star also shared a second quoted message about happiness. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star posted: “Happiness is not fulfilling every pleasure or getting every outcome you desire. Happiness is being able to enjoy life with a peaceful mind that is not constantly craving for more. It is the Inner peace that comes with embracing change.”

Tristan’s trade to Sacramento will put him six hours away from Khloe and True by car, and about 90 minutes by flight. Tristan’s closeness will likely solve the dilemma Khloe experienced last year when Tristan lived on the east coast. In a June episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe discussed the possibility of moving True to Boston. “True has her whole life in L.A. — her cousins, I have preschool class at my house,” Khloe shared. “It’s COVID, so I can’t just take her to Boston and go find classes there. Everything’s shut down. I think if it was a different year, maybe I’d be more open to uprooting her. But what am I going to do? Take her there to be in a condo there and stay inside some walls?

Now that her ex will be in True’s home state, Khloe and Tristan can better coordinate their efforts in coparenting. Because Khloe continues to get hurt by Tristan’s infidelity, it’s likely for the best that they focus on raising their daughter and skip trying to make their relationship work. Keeping Up With The Kardashians fans are rooting for Khloe to have her happy ending, and while the star is single for now, she’s expressed happiness after learning her family will be in the same timezone.
