Laura Whitmore rewears Love Island final top as ITV2 show embraces pre-loved fashion

Love Island has teased a first look at the new 2022 series ahead of its official launch tonight (6 June), and host Laura Whitmore has been spotted rewearing one of her iconic outfits from the show.

The TV presenter, 37, can be seen heading into the famous villa in Mallorca as she gets ready to meet this year’s contestants in the new photos, while wearing an all-red outfit.

Laura originally wore the stunning red waistcoat-style top back in 2020, when she presented the Winter Love Island final.

This time round, she paired the halter neck top with a pair of matching tailored shorts, while in the past she wore it with a pair of flared pants and a matching red blazer.

The suit was a bespoke garment made by British tailor Joshua Kane, and it’s no wonder that Laura decided to rewear the outfit as it proved to be a hit with fans back in 2020.

The top features a heart-shaped cut out across the chest and as Laura paired it with a hair clip with the word ‘LOVE’ across it, the look was perfect for Love Island.

It appears Laura will be embracing pre-loved fashion on this year’s series after the show’s 2022 official fashion partners were recently revealed as eBay.

It marks a huge change for the show as contestants will now be championing sustainability, whereas Love Island usually partners with fast fashion brands.

The ITV2 show’s new brand partner has been a hit with shoppers for many years now and are set to take over from fast fashion brand ISAWITFIRST to push a more ethical message to viewers after Oxfam reported 13 million items of clothing goes into UK landfill every week.

Love Island was previously sponsored by ISAWITFIRST since 2019 and had taken to supplying endless amounts of clothes to the Islander’s as they partake on their journeys in the iconic villa.

Prior to them, fellow fast fashion company Missguided held the spot to provide stylish looks for the contestants in 2018.
