During a recent stream, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Director Masahiro Sakurai unveiled an all-new Min Min Amiibo set to launch in 2022.
A stream for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ended with Director Masahiro Sakurai showcasing a Min Min Amiibo that will release on an unspecified date in 2022. Sakurai announced the news in a presentation revolving around the forthcoming arrival of Tekken’s Kazuya in Smash Bros. Ultimate, but the Min Min tease managed to generate plenty of hype all its own.
In the final minutes of the aforementioned Super Smash Bros. Ultimate stream, Masahiro Sakurai unveiled a first look at the Min Min Amiibo. The Director did note, however, that the figure on display only represented a “sample.” Still, it should come close to the design of the final product, which won’t release as part of the Amiibo Collection until 2022.
This reveal confirms that Nintendo will continue developing new Amiibo figures for Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Fighters Pass Vol. 2 characters. Yet, as Sakurai mentions, an Amiibo figurine for Kazuya seems rather unlikely. Stranger things have happened, though.
The Sakurai-hosted broadcast unleashed other notable pieces of information, as well. For example, the Director divulged that whoever joins the roster after Kazuya will be the last Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter. Therefore, anyone holding out hope for a Fighters Pass Vol. 3 would do well to lay such dreams to rest.
