‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Rotten Tomato Score Swings in a Strong Start at 100 Percent

The highly anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home has finally gotten some eyes on it outside the cast and crew. Initial reviews have dropped about the Tom Holland and Zendaya movie, and things look great for the webhead. The Spider-Man: No Way Home Rotten Tomato score has started with a bang, netting a 100% fresh rating with around 50 reviewers.

The first batch of reviews put the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Rotten Tomatoes score as high as it could go

Some fans debate whether or not the critic score of RT means anything anymore. However, it makes for an easy-to-use tool for casual moviegoers. Since they make up most of the mass audience, Marvel bagging a high Spider-Man: No Way Home Rotten Tomato score is important.

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk,” the Rotten Tomatoes description reads, teasing the plot.

“When he enlists Doctor Strange‘s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse,” the Rotten Tomatoes description continues.

The first reviews and scores start appearing early on Dec. 14, 2021. While some of the first few reviews did not give the Marvel movie a 10/10, many did. Before the workday started, Spider-Man: No Way Home sat with a 100% Rotten Tomato score.

What have critics said to give ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ such a high Rotten Tomatoes score?

Some of the first few reviewers to give a high Spider-Man: No Way Home Rotten Tomato score came from CinemaBlend’s Eric Eisenberg.

“Jon Watts’ blockbuster is the movie that audiences are presently mentally preparing themselves for, and one of the greatest Marvel adventures to date,” Eisenberg said in his 5/5 review.

Then Vanity Fair gave the Marvel movie high praises as well. They said, “Holland has built a legacy that will long linger in the Spider-Man firmament; better he should place it on the mantle now than wear out his welcome. The odds of that actually happening are, of course, slim to none.”

Other critics said that the movie gave fans exactly what they hoped for in the newest Spider-man outing. As Peter Parker battles Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Electro, the Sandman, and more, it seems the effort paid off.

The Marvel movie does not get ‘Certified Fresh’ in the first few hours

However, an important thing to note is that Spider-Man: No Way Home Rotten Tomato score on Dec. 14, 2021, does not mark the final score.

RT scores tend to shift wildly during a film’s theatrical run. And few know that reality more than Chloé Zhao’s Eternals.

News outlets traced the slow ticking down of Eternals as it neared Thor: The Dark World’s title of the worst Rotten Tomato score of any Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.

And more reviews will flood in. Only time can tell if Spider-Man: No Way Home can keep that 100% Rotten Tomato score.
