When the Cincinnati Bengals selected Ja’Marr Chase at No. 5 in the 2021 NFL Draft, there were many who thought that Penei Sewell should have been the choice, especially given how Joe Burrow’s 2020 season ended. A preseason marred with drops only underscored the point. But in the team’s Week 1 game vs. Minnesota, the rookie wideout had 101 yards receiving, including a 50-yard touchdown from Burrow. Chase has since addressed those around the league still focused on his preseason. “I like to tell them enjoy the show. This is my job. Let them sit back and enjoy the show.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. In NFL history, only 24 players have totaled 1,000 or more receiving yards in their first season in the league. Chase hopes to be No. 25. So with that in mind, how many of the 24 can you name in five minutes?
