The exact date to buy garden furniture revealed – before demand rockets

The cold January weather has got us excited for warmer days to come.

Those spring and summer afternoons spent outside enjoying drinks and BBQ food are always a pleasure.

So if you’re thinking about sprucing up your outdoor space ready for warmer weather, it’s worth knowing when the best time to buy garden furniture is.

And it seems, according to gardening experts, there’s a specific date to put in the calendar – to ensure you don’t miss out.

The past two years we’ve been spending time in our gardens more than ever before – which means that certain items have been difficult to get our hands on (we’re looking at you Aldi egg chair).

To avoid missing out, Ryan Schwarze – a garden furniture expert at Luxury Rattan – has revealed the exact date to buy outdoor furniture… and it’s very soon.

According to Ideal Home, Ryan says February 7 is the time to get ordering your bits.

This is because on that date – which is just over two weeks away – outdoor furniture companies begin to see an increase in demand.

He says: ‘Securing your furniture on this date means you’ll usually be able to get exactly what you want. Instead of opting for what’s left and it allows for plenty of time for delivery ahead of peak dates.’

And it looks like some people already have summer on their minds as, according to Moda Furnishings, the search level for ‘garden furniture’ has shot up by 400% over the last couple of weeks.

So there’s every reason to get planning and buying bits now.

The January sales are also another great time to snap up out of season bits at reduced prices – as this is when companies are clearing last year’s stock.

You’re also likely to get quicker delivery times during the winter months, as garden furniture and outdoor accessories aren’t so in demand.
