Porsche is synonymous with powerful production cars known for their unimaginable speed and performance. Compared to its predecessor, the Cayenne Turbo Coupé, the Turbo GT rides up to 17 millimeters lower to create a sportier yet aligns with the travelers’ signature luxurious experience. Both the passive chassis components and active control systems have been re-engineered and optimized for handling and performance. GT Design wheels in Neodyme dominate its side view, while the carbon side plates fitted lengthwise are about 25 mm larger than the Turbo. This increases downforce at the car’s top speed by up to 40 kilograms. The rearview is rounded off by a striking diffuser panel made of carbon.

Porsche claims the eight-speed Tiptronic S gearbox has been modified to offer quicker shift times, tuned to play well with what the company notes are the most potent V8 currently provided by the brand. The faster-shifting eight-speed Tiptronic S and the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system have also been modified. There is also additional water cooling for the transfer case. Other changes include increasing the rigidity of the three-chamber air suspension by up to 15 percent, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), the damper characteristics of the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as well as the application of the Power Steering Plus and rear-axle steering. Compared to the Turbo Coupé, its front wheels are an inch wider, and the negative camber has been increased by 0.45 degrees. The Turbo GT uses the new 22-inch Pirelli P Zero Corsa performance tires specially developed for the Turbo GT with a larger contact patch.

Under the hood, the four-seater Coupé features a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 631 horsepower and 626 lb-ft of torque, 67 kW (90 PS), and 59 lb-ft more than the Cayenne Turbo Coupé. The Cayenne Turbo GT’s Biturbo engine is currently Porsche’s most potent eight-cylinder unit. The Cayenne Turbo GT can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds (0.6s less than its predecessor) and the top speed is now 300 km/h (an increase of 14 km/h). Porsche test driver Lars Kern, who lapped the 20.832 km Nürburgring Nordschleife with the Cayenne Turbo GT in a time of 7:38.9 minutes, has proven this, setting a new official SUV record.

The Cayenne Turbo GT highlights Alcantara features extensively for the interiors, like for the sport seats in the front. Neodymium or Arctic Grey is the contrasting element to the sport rear seat system with two seats. The interior also features various trim-specific designations and a yellow 12-o’clock center stripe to remind drivers they’re better than those who own a now-pathetic Cayenne Turbo Coupe. The front sports seats have eight-way electrical adjustment, and the ‘Turbo GT’ is lettered on the headrests. Porsche’s new changes to their 22-inch infotainment system include significant changes in the UX and operating logic. The PCM 6.0 is fully compatible with Apple CarPlay but now also allows for in-depth integration of Apple Music and Apple Podcasts. With the Turbo GT, the next-generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system is launched onto the market with improved performance, a new user interface, and new operating logic in Cayenne. In addition, the infotainment system now also includes Android Auto, which means that all popular smartphones can now be integrated. The Cayenne Turbo GT has also been fitted with a water-cooled transfer case, which is said to increase the thermal capacity of the drivetrain under high loads.
