Patrick Peterson was selected fifth overall by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2011 NFL Draft and spent his entire career in the desert prior to this season. Peterson earned Pro Bowl nods in each of his first eight NFL seasons and was named a first team All-Pro in 2011, 2013 and 2015.
He played in 128 consecutive regular-season games to begin his career, before missing six contests in 2019. In eight games this year, Peterson has recorded 21 tackles, two tackles for a loss and has forced two fumbles.
Minnesota activated fellow defensive starter Dalvin Tomlinson last week ahead of the team’s loss to the Detroit Lions.
