Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick were one of reality television’s most renowned couples for almost an entire decade. Over nine years of on-and-off dating, Kourtney and Scott created a family of five and forged an unforgettable relationship KUWTK fans were heavily invested in. The couple would fall out frequently, mostly because of Scott’s womanizing lifestyle. Eventually, Kourtney called off her relationship with Scott for good because of a yacht party gone wrong. In 2015, the Kardashian broke up with Scott because of pictures that showed the reality playboy dancing with his ex-girlfriend and rubbing her back. Since their breakup, Scott Disick appears to have retained his infamous dating lifestyle, as he is currently in a controversial relationship with Lisa Rinna’s 19-year-old daughter, Amelia Hamlin.

Kourtney’s latest romantic interest is Blink-182’s Travis Barker. In February, Kourtney and Travis made their romance official and the two have shared plenty of photos commemorating their love online. While many fans are embracing Kourtney and Travis’ evident joy in exploring their relationship, not everyone is as thrilled about the stars’ romance. Specifically, Travis’ ex-wife and model Shanna Moakler has made allegations that frame Travis as a womanizer similar to Kourtney’s ex, Scott. Shanna and Travis were married from 2004 to 2006 before they called it quits. According to Shanna, Kourtney and Travis first started to get to know one another during the time of Shanna’s marriage to the famous drummer. Travis has denied this, however, asserting that he met Kourtney after his separation from Shanna. Despite Travis and Kourtney’s denouncement of Shanna’s allegations, Shanna holds Kourtney responsible for causing a rift in her relationship with Travis and their children.

Additionally, Travis has been open about his troubled past. Travis owned his problematic history in his memoir Can I Say. In the book, Travis is open about his struggles with grief and addiction to both substances and sex. The book has several anecdotes of Travis using sex as an unhealthy way to cope with the stress of his life. While this is a struggle Travis claims he has overcome, the musician’s reputation has stuck with many fans who see the similarities between Scott Disick and the famous drummer’s reckless womanizing behavior.

Kourtney Kardashian’s new relationship with Travis Barker appears promising, but it is not without its criticisms. Although Travis claims he has changed, fans fear his previous unpredictable behavior is too similar to that of the eldest Kardashian star’s womanizing ex. As Keeping Up With The Kardashians comes to an end, hopefully, Kourtney’s cycle of pursuing untrustworthy partners comes to a close as well.
