This movie was alright. I give it a C+ overall. The acting was good and the story line had potential but the characters were under used, I’m sure in the hopes we will get sequels to explore them each further.

Truthfully its written by a different guy. Directed by a different guy too than the other X-men movies. Sure of it. Reason being is it was very watchable. I found it enjoyable. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a chilled out cool movie.

Dr. Reyes already communicate with her superiors from essex, and the essex soldiers are already outside the barrier waiting to execute Dani and take the other kids.
After the new mutants defeat the demon bear, and finally free, the only thing they saw outside is a destroyed armored trucks and dozens of killed decapitated soldiers.

Teenagers with superpowers being held in a hospital or military complex setting was the plot of several comic books over the past few decades – New Mutants was NOT one of them. It seems strange to take a popular comic (X-Men spin-off) and steal the basic plot of other comics that were contemporaries or competitors to the New Mutants and make it the plot of the New Mutants.

I started to watch the film: First of all, two lesbian girls can't keep their hands off each other, and the tombstones don't disturb the romance either. My only thought WHY? She lost her whole family and the only thing she can think about is sex. I am aware of the X-Men film's reference to homosexuality. But they're 16 and we don't have to see them naked in the shower. What a load of crap.

3. Unneccessary romance
4. Lots of pointless scenes
5. Slow and boring
6. No depth in scenes

This movie is the perfect example that Fox is now owned by Disney.
Edit: that wasn't meant as a compliment. I'm referring to all the creepy shit we saw in the trailers, pre-Disney, being cut from the movie, post-Disney.

If you tell the indian legend than tell it at least right.It's about two wolves and not bears lol.
They could've added a Fenrir from Norse mythology like in Thor Ragnarok and would have been more cooler than a bear.
